thirteen.

oops.
first post of 2013 and it's.... february 14th! happy v-day. to me. and my valentine, me.

goodness doesn't life just get busy and then before you know it, two months have passed? that's me for ya.

i have since realized, however, that life should never be too busy for the things that are important and needed! too much to do and so much life to live.

well. i'll give you "stalkers" an update. although there aren't many of you.

1. school is good. and hard. but good.
2. i thoroughly enjoy looking at all those darn zoobsssss and wonder, "where in the WORLD did you come from??" every day.
3. i'm working part time at FFG (same work). it's going great. even though i secretly envy shar bear and how she gets to cook in the mahvellous kitchen for her job.
4. i am currently looking too much at all my dumb media apps on izzy my iphone 5. that's a goal - to not check all that unimportant stuff 24/7.
5. i have now made TWO payments on florence. two down and.... 50 billion to go.
6. i forget about face time, i miss my 3 kiddies.
7. currently, i am searching for a health-related internship in los angeles for this upcoming summer. so i can complete my internship and alsooo live with bro bro andrew and party on. i am a california girl at heart. weird i know. p.s. any connections or people you know, hit me up, even if you don't know me that well!
8. baseball season is starting. and padre is coaching for a different team. that's weird. but oh so very exciting. SOX all the way!
9. my room is organized. but organized clutter. but not too bad. but bad if you know me normally.
10. i've still got lots of life to figure out. and boy, am i grateful for the wonderful things and the wonderful life i have!!!!!!

blog schmog, eww... egg nog.

um... well i guess, happy holidays are in order?

here we are at december 2nd, 2012. shouldn't the world be ending soon? hopefully not ;) there are too many good things in life to be enjoyed.

sheesh where to begin!

ONE. my newest purchase:
 - this would be izzy (?) my new iphone 5. my life has been changed in a mere 36 hours.

TWO. my SECOND most recent purchase:
 - this would be my new car. deciding between RUBY and FLORENCE. ideas?

THREE. november 14th was the anniversary of my dear pup, pugsley. we miss him.

FOUR. my dear sweet friend, whitney, took these lovely pictures of me! love her. find me someone to marry and her and i will be even better friends. her pictures are amazing.

i am all registered for classes and honestly, i have never been so excited for school. i'm sure that mindset will change within... 3 days. but still, i'm excited! all signed up for exercise & wellness and business. let's get down to business peeps!

work has pretty much controlled my life lately. with an incredible incentive within eyesight, 60 hours of work last week just happened. hard work has paid off. (see ruby/florence above.)

gold's gym has been treating me well. the "toolshed", as i like to call it, has pretty much been a constant view on my snapped pictures to friends while working out. one of my favorites that's for sure!

man has the time flown. i am pretty sure that i say that every post, but it is crazy how it has happened. i think back to the holiday season last year and what i was doing then... what a different time. we all have grown, matured, learned, cried, and laughed in the past year. the unexpected has happened as well as the expected.

but to this day, i am happy, i have my family, the gospel, a new calling in church (teaching 5 year olds), a job, school to attend, a car, a home, a nice place to sleep, friends, food to fill my belly, wonderful memories of the past, and many things to look forward to in the future.

one of my favorite (of many) quotes below:

1.06.2012

here we go again.

i have completely neglected and not fulfilled my blogging fix for quite a while.

i barely survived finals, enjoyed a wonderful christmas break with friends, family, games, treats, and more.

i tried to document the events as best as i could, but we'll see how the pictures really turned out.

pictures to come :)

sneaking up on me.

this christmas has completely snuck up on me!
the fact that i can see my grass outside could be part of it, but it just doesn't feel like christmas!
already, the break from school has gone way too fast. i've enjoyed sleeping in, going to the gym every day, and catching up on some of my favorite TV series' on netflix way too much
however, i have realized how much fun it is to be with my family and i'm ready to spend the next week or so all together - extended family and all. there are some things that i'm missing, but i'm working on putting on a happy face :) i'm pretty close to having mastered that, any time, any place.

we enjoyed a yummy dinner at dave's kitchen in salt lake. you like chinese food? go to dave's.
dave's kitchen is a good kitchen.

i spent a fun day yesterday shopping with my siblings. i am particularly excited about a gift for big V. i think he will be surprised and completely excited! pictures to come, don't you worry.

i mostly love sitting in our "present wrapping" room with my brothers, wrapping their gifts for them (i am way too nice) and chatting about life. i have realized that i am not always in a hurry, that there isn't always somewhere to go, and that downtime is completely okay.
i spent a few hours today with andrew. he is leaving mid-ish january for LA to go to school. LA? take me there! i would love to drop everything, move to a new place, and do something different. i think i have posted that like 3 times, oh well. what an adventure. i am excited for him and he is excited and ready.

i'm mentally preparing for our LAW family christmas eve festivities to commence in just a couple hours. here's to a bunch of kids, a bunch of family, a bunch of crazies getting together for food, fun, games, and laughs.
let the party begin!

p.s. grandbaby #3 will be here any day now. no, she still does NOT have a name. think of some cute names for me.

p.p.s.
welcome home alli! love this picture.

this is an awful picture, but it made me laugh.

happy christmas to all.

12.09.2011

thanks.

i attempted a post from my mobile, eva. but... the picture looked weird and it wasn't up to my blog post "par".

i've been in a blogging slump i decided. things have gone on and i've thought, "oh! write a post about that!" but then, i never do. sorry. i know all of you are anxiously awaiting my next post!

my parents and adam were gone in the dominican republic with the byu baseball team so i was here at home on my own for a bit. and i loved it. so, i spent a great thanksgiving with a wonderful family. it was one to remember, i sure love that family!

the void of dear pugsley is still in my heart. :(

festival of trees is always a law family christmastime tradition. here's one of my favorite trees:

(and favorite movies!)

my computer knowledge is greatly increasing. if you want to refinance, just ask me. i know all! okay, i'm kidding. i don't know all! i am learning as i go and i definitely don't instruct people in refinancing! what i have learned, is that people in the loan/refinance business work crazy hours! change is good though. i sit a a computer all day, i have about every song memorized on 97.1 ZHT's "i heart radio" app, and my typing words per minute has gone up as well. those are all good things right?

my most favorite week is coming up. NOT. finals are my worst. but it's time to prepare, buckle down, and rock my finals! by next friday - 2 math assignments, 1 five page paper, 5 chapters of reading, and 3 finals later, i will be free!

wish me luck.

in the mean time... i'm in a place that i've been in before with my life. it's just one of those things.

if you want to give me a really nice gift for christmas, i am now accepting this:

happy studying and happy holidays!

7.13.2011

my day of birth.

celebrating my day of birth (which was 20 years ago, whoa.) was wonderful here in london town!

started out at 12:02 am with some great birthday wishes from friends back at home :) you know who you are.

had a great sleep, woke up early to work out and it was great. and proud of myself for doing that. it's hard to do when i am so tired each night getting into bed. the extra 30 minutes of sleep helps during the day. but i woke up early anyway!
kathryn dropped off a little package my momma sent with her. inside were some cards and notes from my friends! the best.

school for a couple hours and we were heading immediately to the train station to go to the globe theater for much ado about nothing. a few of us left to grab our lunches at #2 (i will refer to our flat as #2 from now on!) a medium length ride to the theater, small walk, and we were there!

as a group, we met at the front. dr. anderson said there was good and bad news.
bad news first: our booking lady at byu failed to tell us that when she went to book tickets for us, the play was sold out. so we got there ready for our play, with no tickets. mind you, that is mess up #2/#3 for her. i was not pleased. not even the fact that it was my birthday, but she gets paid to book things for big groups like us and she messed up big time!
good news: we were heading to westminster abbey for a walking tour.

side note - the globe theater is right by the millenium bridge which is in harry potter.

another train ride to westminster and we were there. exiting the tube stop and again, BAM, big ben greeted us!

across the street and around the corner was westminster abbey. it was so beautiful! still, i do not understand how these abbeys are constructed? how did the intricate detail get there? especially when it wasn't built recently and we have all the technology and tools we do? another mystery.
inside, pictures weren't allowed. it was a sight to see. and remember, kate and william were married there just a little bit ago.
her gorgeous dress:

she is beautiful.

cool clock!

me and suzanne.

thrilled!

the inside was incredible. i can't even describe it! there were tombs from so many of the kings from the 1500-1600's. and the oldest door in england. built in 1400. a lot of history in there!
i'm glad we went. our tickets were standing tickets for much ado about nothing, a three hour standing play wouldn't have been too enjoyable...

all of our group was split up throughout the abbey but some of us gathered again to head to dinner for my birthday! we did settle on the italian place that hilary and i visited, here. the food is too tasty to pass up! i may go back for a pizza.

left to right: hilary, chrisse, kathryn, angela, megan, sara.

left to right: katie, laura, brooke, kjersti, suzanne, me.

tortelloni that was wonderful!!

the girls pitched in to pay for my dessert. wonderful.
not as good as my apple crisp, but it filled the void!

the flat was the relaxing abode for the night. i updated some blog posts and relaxed a bit. it was a great birthday!
i am so grateful for all the friends i have! it was so fun to read through my facebook page and see all those who cared about me and wished me a great birthday.
i love you all! i have the best friends and family. seriously. i win!!

remember, you can click on the pictures to enlarge them and view a better image! i could post them larger but then the post would be even loonnnger.

oh. hilary got me this:
i spotted it in a shop on the other side of town. didn't get it, but she did. sneaky sneaky.
