can't get enough.

amidst studying, i cannot get over my love for this song!

it's easy to get stressed out i think. 

but then i look outside - the sun is shining, the sky is blue and i am so blessed!

it's one of those things.

this is one of those posts that i'm not quite sure what to write about! 

you know that roller coaster ride at lagoon, mouse trap? it's a herky, jerky ride that yanks you side to side around short lengths of coaster and sharp turns. like a small mousey being chased by a cat. i think that life is just like this ride. side to side, up and down, chased by something that never really ends. 

the relentless homework, assignments, and tests. unexpected events, changes, surprises. life is a game, a gamble. most times, you don't know what will be thrown at you! thank goodness we have some awesome resources and guidance in our lives. are you with me on that? 

well. who has two thumbs and a new job? ME. 

i am now working at flagship financial group near thanksgiving point. i am doing my fair share of loan confirmations, registers, locks, and computer work. and... i love it! i completely thrive off organization, routines, and a set schedule. 

i spent approximately 10.5 hours studying for my accounting test last weekend. i will say, i nearly doubled my score on test #2 from test #1. i almost cried when i looked up at the mini, score-projecting screen! 

life is just one of those things. like the mouse trap ride. i feel like my thinking is contrary to the normal quote - 

i don't think you can expect the unexpected. 

but yes! i will conquer the unexpected whenever, whomever, and whichever form i receive it!

the next day was on to liverpool! yes, the hometown of the one and only, the beatles. a few of the girls in our group were ecstatic about visiting liverpool and the museum there. 

right near the museum was the liverpool dock where the LDS saints departed from liverpool on their journey to the united states. 

the museum took some time to get through but i learned a lot more about the beatles! i loved that there were many items straight from the band's time and their timeline of their progress. 

hilary and i, of course, wanted to explore the city. we had a 10 minute walk to the city center and saw the most shopping ever! primark was a must, along with walking through a huge outdoor mall! we chose zizzi's, italian, for dinner. just outside the entrance was a small roller coaster and park for children, on the 3rd level, can you believe that?!

it was totally delicious.

it's been far too long and this blog has been neglected. i have been thinking a lot about what i need to post and what i should post! haha. that's when you know it's a cool "hobby" let's say? 

i have too many pictures that i have taken and am procrastinating uploading and semi-editing.

what a list. but, i will say i've documented them quite well and my pictures have improved (at least i think so!)

this weather is a total downer. i laid out for the afternoon last friday and got a great tan and completely enjoyed it! now, it's rain? unbelievable. thanks utah. 

i enjoyed a fun weekend with some friends. killer workout, long day of shopping and eating, and great company! not a better day out there. 

i played a simple piano piece in my sacrament meeting. it's too bad i couldn't get my shoes back on after i played and everyone sat there awkwardly watching me struggle to get up and walk back to my seat! ha ha. i lost that one for sure. 

i wish i had the time to go to only zumba classes during the week. that would be 4 or 5 times a week and a high amount of calories could be burned. then i could have a rockin' bod and not even have to worry about my craving for a cheeseburger with lettuce and sauce only from in n' out. oh, and a chocolate banana shake from arctic circle. well, any ice cream for that matter. ice cream donations are greatly appreciated, thanks. 

i will say, i'm enjoying this summer time. still working, but totally enjoying being with my good friends. i have some great people in my life and i am so lucky to have them! 

and... for the record, 35 more days until i am meeting my fellow study abroader's in the shannon, ireland airport. can you believe that? the time has flown by. i am sad i am missing summer here in utah, but this trip will be once-in-a lifetime. the travels will be amazing and the sites are those that i wouldn't imagine visiting. (maybe, you can find one of the owls from harry potter and send me a birthday gift via the owl post. that way i can still enjoy my birthday in the UK. after all, the hp 7 premire is right around my birthday time. not the ideal bday gift, but still.. )this trip creeping up on me like a byu student creeps his female co-ed. 

i'll work on my pics and show you the visuals of the events as of late. i need to get on a good blogging schedule so i can have it down while i'm in the euro!

what a wonderful conference weekend!! i wish i would have paid better attention during the saturday sessions, and some on sunday. but at times, the thought of my never-ending school work this week wasn't escaping my mind. i did feel, however, that there were so many things to be taken from the amazing talks given. things that i can take into my future marriage, how i can be a supportive and comforting wife (thank you jeanine scott for your example and inspiration! ) and things that i have been wondering about for a few weeks now. and, lucky us, we get to have all of the talks printed in next month's ensign! i am looking forward to reading and re-reading those talks. how blessed we are to have these men on the earth today.

p.s. i am impatiently awaiting the end of the week of april 22. finals will be over and i am free to roam provo without needing to go to byu campus! let's all pray that we all (especially me) can get through finals and the demanding, crazy, end of semester projects!

i wish i was a country girl. you all know how much i love keith urban, he is country, urban country i would say i guess. but country nonetheless. i just got jason aldean's album. love it. love it! 

he is country, but not too honky tonk. it is some good music, let me tell you. if you want to expand your horizons, listen. it makes me think of going to the east, well mainly the deep, country south. i have heard a lot about those places. i think of dirt roads, cowboy boots, t-shirts and jeans, a nice and chilly smoothie, and most of all, wrap around porches.

i picture summer nights, rocking chairs, and basking in the beautiful night with my dearest, talking about nothing and having no cares in the world. i dream of those days and i can't wait for that day to come. whoever you are, i hope you are okay with my country dreams and at least, the wrap around porch. it seems so relaxing, so laid back, and so calm. i am totally okay with that!

snacks.

remember that guy? today, he sat RIGHT next to me. eating yet another bag of chips. i think i will call him snacks. i have noticed that every day while waiting for class, he has some sort of "snack". so from now on, that guy = snacks. he kills me. but, i think, he is so oblivious, he doesn't know what's going on, and he just seems to living life and enjoying his chips! good for him. 


i looked on a syllabus for my class the other day, and i couldn't believe that there were only three spaces left telling me what we were doing in class! (that means, only three times left in the class). i was shocked, but not so shocked to see it. i am excited for it to end, but that means finals! lately though, i have realized that i am pretty darn good at cramming (we won't say procrastinating because that's not all of it). with tests, that skill comes into play. great news only right there. 


i can't wait for school to be over. and while i am attending byu because it's school, i have noticed that it is one of a kind. you get the best of the best of people. so many interesting people, interesting conversations, interesting outfits, interesting hair-do's, interesting desktop pictures, the list goes on and on... i highly enjoy my day while observing these things. byu, thanks.

the thought has been eating at me the past few days. how in the world am i going to work out while i am away in europe? i will be eating delectable food that is most likely going to be high in caloric intake and not really healthy at all. me, i love food, especially yummy food, and i eat a lot of it. this could be a problem! i will figure something out, i hope?

never ending.

i don't think things for school ever end.. first it's tests, then it's in-class assignments, then it's take home papers, then it's more tests, then it's take home essays. i don't think it will ever end. maybe after next week it will be easier. after this semester, then there are even more semesters to come! i am so not thrilled about it. 


whenever i need something good, i turn to this guy:

yes, he is that guy. he's good looking, minus the triple (maybe even quadruple?) earrings there on his left ear. well regardless, he makes some great music and i could listen to it all day. if i was stuck on an island and could only choose one artist to listen to the whole time, it would be mr. urban. 

counting down the days til the end of the semester that's for sure.

p.s. i kind of like that stalker tracker thing to the right over there. even though it says.. "who's following."
