spontaneous.

kind of spur of the moment, i decided to go with my friends to vegas.
we had talked about it a while back, but i knew i couldn't miss work and didn't think too much about it. we all got to talking and i decided i would go! leave friday evening, get there late late and enjoy 2 days in vegas.

i know,
awfully unflattering pictures that aren't reflecting my bod that i am working so hard on!

i love trips like that. remember our trip to idaho a while ago? we all decided we need to do these things more often! can't wait for summer. eeeesssshh.

i have joined something new (i know, the discreetness is probably killlling you), i am branching out. i am being open and trying to be enjoyable.

i am learning. more and more. i am in love with my anatomy class. if i didn't work so much, i would probably study it all day because i love it so much! any ideas what i should do with my exercise and wellness major? i should probably decide soon, eh?

you like some things, and you don't like others.
you live and you learn. and i am trying my best to do both of those.

summary.

it's amazing to me how the days and weeks just pass by.
i went to california - - nearly THREE weeks ago? it doesn't seem like it was that long ago, that's for sure.
after an unexpected death of a close family friend, we weren't sure if we would still take the trip due to his funeral services. but it all worked out AND we were able to attend his services the following week.
read about it here
a tragic, tragic story. many prayers sent their way.

with their family on our minds, we headed to california. watched cougar baseball take their first 3-game series against UC riverside, 2-1.
last minute, andrew was invited to attend the lakers game in a box seat friday morning with the game that night. he called me (coolest sister, of course!) and i said yes i would go. be proud, i drove from riverside to downtown LA all by myself! no crashes. i picked up mr. andy and we headed to the staples center.
don't think i love the lakers, but come on, when in rome... we entered through the VIP entrance - yes, we felt totally cool.

watched some more baseball, did some sightseeing, drove around hollywood, stalked some celebrity homes :) and spent some time with my bro bro.

the trip in pictures:

phenomenal trip.

eesh.

i have been slacking on this, blog, you know.

trying to manage a couple night classes, work every day, school, and of course zumba, has been a little harder than i expected.

my brain is still not functioning to full capacity. that can't be good, can it?? it's still enjoying a christmas break when i am trying real hard to be studious and make it to class on time, or just to class?

i am absolutely loving these shoes i purchased.

they are still working their way into my every day, uh, business attire.
oh, and these pants!

i am on a colored pant rave right now!
colored skinnies from express - the royal blue, or purple, or i guess all of them could very well be my next purchase.

i think i've pretty much skipped over approximately 3 weeks and 2 days of my life on here. i know you are a little upset about it, but sorry. i don't want to bore you with overdue christmas/holiday posts.

however, me and a couple friendy friends took a trip to idaho for the holiday weekend to visit a friend. it was a wonderful break, a relaxing couple days, and of course, always, a good time!

me and al pal.

p.s. please excuse the poor picture quality. mobile photos just aren't the best. i have been slacking on photog taking too. oopsies.

in new york.

i just watched this video from my dear friend's blog. it's lovely. and worth your time!!

i have been to new york a couple times.

first, in high school. i went on an amazing trip with a group from my sewing class. (i did win our school's make-it-with-wool contest, that's my claim to fame). it was a trip centered on fashion! we visited some schools there, met with fashion designers, and did sight-seeing. of course.

next, was with my fam bam. we had such a fun trip! we caught the last game red sox vs. yankees game in old yankee stadium. and got to meet ol' tito (terry francona). he's a good friend of my dad's from their playing days.

i love the city. the busyness. the lights. the streets. the cars. the noise. the shopping!

imagine. a penthouse suite above the diverse people all going their every which way. just think about that.

i get the privilege of sitting with my parents for byu football games. 44 yard line. splendid! my family has a problem with taking pictures, but we finally snatched one tonight.

please excuse the 'awesome' phone picture quality. (big v's iphone!) the camera on my dear eva decided to stop working.

p.s. how do you feel about this blog redesign? i'm not quite sure.

back to real life.

my poor adventurous (i'm not adventuring anymore, blog name change coming up..) blog has been put on hold for the time being.
but... i'm back!

i am back to real life, full swing. when i have a spare moment, i think to myself, was i really in africa? the uk? out of the US? some days, i can't believe i was really there. experiencing life on my own.

too much time has passed since those weeks.

to sum it up, i had a completely fantastic summer. the time of my life. i am so grateful and lucky i was able to travel and experience the things i did. great britain was cultural, historical, and informational. africa was humbling, extraordinary, and a place full of people i will never forget.

many things have happened since i last posted. here's a small recap from august to now.

families we met and love:

welcome home, elder law! (his talk was so great.)

love these girls (alli is studying abroad in italy, wahoo!):

katelin, taylor, alli, me.

fam bam here for 2 weeks:

love this girl.

africa shirts!

first day of school, water buffalo backpack!

change of major #2 happened last week, food science to exercise and wellness, accounting 200 is taking over my life, i got 90% on my math test, and i couldn't be happier with life right now.

amazing.
